A guided walk and introduction to the proposed Lea River Park

Join representatives from London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and the design team led by Latz + Partner as they present initial ideas for the ambitious new Lea River Park, phase 1 of which is programmed to be complete in 2011. This phase includes Three Mills Green, East India Dock Basin and the first phase of the Fatwalk, the linear parkland that will link these two parks and adjacent areas.

This will be an ideal opportunity for local residents and businesses to find out more about how the park could look and feel, the activities and uses that might be provided and the chance to get more involved in the design process.

Members of the public are invited to join the new Lea River Park Community Board, working closely with the design team to represent the thoughts, wishes and needs of the local communities.

The event will include a tour of one of the park’s areas followed by a brief presentation of work to date then group discussions and workshops about your views on what we should be providing. Refreshments will be available.
